Specifying Biological Contact Oxidation Tank of Sewage Treatment System

In the integrated sewage treatment equipment process,  there is a device that can treat organic wastewater- biological contact oxidation tank.it is a biological treatment device suitable for the treatment of organic wastewater,which is mainly used for the treatment of industrial sewage, domestic sewage, rural domestic sewage, etc. The mainly principle is organic matter degrade by used of microbial flora and decompose organic matter into the harmless water and carbon dioxide. Our company is widely used the biological contact oxidation tank on the integrated sewage treatment device(under ground type), integrated sewage treatment equipment, MBBR integrated sewage treatment equipment,etc. Thus, the sewage treatment effect is greatly increased, the COD and BOD degradation rate is controlled above 85%, the use of chemicals is reduced, and the cost of wastewater treatment is reduced. So what are the structures of biological contact oxidation tanks?

The biological contact oxidation tank is consists of a pool body, a filler and a support, an aeration device, a water inlet and outlet device and a mud discharge pipe,etc.

1. Pool body

The role of the pool body is not only to purify sewage, but also to consider the installation of filling, water distribution, gas distribution and other facilities. When the pool volume is small, the circular steel structure can be used, and when the pool volume is large, the rectangular reinforced concrete structure can be used.The plane size of the pool body should be uniform in water and air distribution, and convenient in installation, maintenance and management of packing materials. The bottom wall of the pool body shall have a frame supporting the packing material and a support for the water inlet pipe.

2. Filler

The filler is the carrier of the biofilm, which is called the carrier. The filler is the key part of the contact oxidation process, and it has three types: suspended filler, suspended filler and fixed block filler. At present, the commonly used fillers are honeycomb and corrugated plate fillers made of polyvinyl chloride plastic, polypropylene plastic, epoxy glass steel, etc. In order to facilitate installation and maintenance, the packing is often assembled with a material frame and put into the pool with a frame. When it is necessary to clean and repair, it can be removed one by one, and the pool does not need to stop working.

3. Aeration device

Aeration refers to the artificial passage of air into the biochemical aeration tank through appropriate equipment to achieve the expected purpose. Aeration not only makes the liquid in the tank contact with the air to oxygenate, but also accelerates the transfer of oxygen from the air to the liquid because of stirring the liquid, thus completing the purpose of oxygenation. In addition, aeration also has the purpose of preventing the suspension in the pool from sinking and strengthening the contact between organic matter and microorganisms in the pool and dissolved oxygen, so as to ensure the oxidation and decomposition of organic. The quality of aeration equipment not only affects the effect of sewage biochemical treatment, but also directly affects the land area, investment and operation cost of the treatment plant.

In short, biological contact oxidation tank is an ideal wastewater treatment technology , which uses microbial flora to degrade organic matter, converts harmful substances, achieves the purpose of purifying water and protecting the environment, and has a wide range  of application prospects.
